ACCESS TO SAFE WATER

We have conducted global research on market-based safe drinking water projects, reviewing over 200 projects and analyzing in depth 19 as case studies.

We also supported social enterprises specialized in safe drinking water, such as Ecofiltro selling water filters in Guatemala, to improve their sales and marketing processes; or local businesses in Pakistan, in adapting and adopting best practices in providing safe water for the BoP.

We worked with several multinationals to set up new safe water business models, including helping the Homecare division of Unilever uncover new opportunities to help its consumers deal with increasingly scarce water resources. One of these opportunities – aiming to facilitate access to drinking water devices for low-income households – is being piloted in a Unilever emerging country.
