We have conducted global research on how pioneer companies and organizations have sustainably increased the income and livelihoods of millions of smallholder farmers around the world, by sourcing produce from them or selling products to them, reviewing over 270 projects and analyzing in depth 15 of them as case studies.
Based on these findings, Hystra has supported social entreprises, such as Fruandes in Colombia, to rethink their relationship with farmers and the package of services they provide.
We have also helped the agricultural sourcing team of a leading multinational fast-moving consumer goods company to reach its sustainable procurement goals
by refocusing its partnership strategy and adapting its internal organisation.
Our Managing director Olivier Kayser is a Board member of eKutir, a social business led by Ashoka Fellow Kailash Chandra Mishra, working with smallholder farmers in India.
