At Hystra since 2023, Clarisse has been key in supporting private sector engagement as part of the Bouillon Consortium, a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-sponsored initiative aiming to achieve large-scale fortification of bouillon cubes in Nigeria, Senegal and Burkina Faso. She has also supported an NGO in strengthening the business model of its platform to improve smallholder farmer’s access to finance and inputs in Senegal, via microfinance institutions.
Having grown up in China for 10 years, and previously working with FMCG companies in the United Kingdom, Clarisse joined Hystra with a desire to support businesses driving positive social and environmental change in areas where people are most in need. Clarisse is particularly interested in nutrition, agriculture and health.
Prior to Hystra, Clarisse worked for three years in a brand innovation and marketing consultancy in London, where she specialized in qualitative consumer research and sustainability strategies.
Clarisse holds an MSc in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC Paris and a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford.
